Rennell ES, Lightbridge Academy establish Adopt-a-School partnership

Oct. 24, 2025—Representatives from Lightbridge Academy visited the staff at Rennell Elementary School on Oct. 23 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Arturo Neto, investor and general manager of Lightbridge Academy, shared that he is a longtime community member and has a personal tie to Rennell.

“I live in this community and my daughter went to school at Rennell,” Neto said. “I see the wonderful job teachers are doing and this is another way for me to get involved and help. I want to help teachers continue to be the best teachers to their students.”

Michele Bickham, Rennell principal, expressed her excitement about Lightbridge Academy’s commitment to supporting the campus.

“I am excited to have Lightbridge Academy adopt Rennell and join us as a partner in our mission,” Bickham said. “This collaboration goes beyond simple sponsorship — it represents a shared dedication to fostering the academic, social and emotional growth of every child. Together, we are strengthening the connection between our students, families and the broader community. I’m eager to see the positive impact this partnership will bring and the meaningful opportunities it will create for our Redhawk family.”
